For over a century, Arnot Health has been providing exceptional healthcare to the Twin Tiers. Though each hospital in our system has a unique history, we all share the same mission: bringing sophisticated technology, quality facilities and compassionate care to the communities we serve.
Arnot Ogden Medical Center opened its doors in 1888 as Arnot Ogden Memorial Hospital in large part due to the generosity of Mariana Arnot Ogden. It has been able to continue to expand and grow while serving those locally and regionally.
Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital can trace its origins to 3 nurses who started their hospital in Bath, NY. Once operating out of a house, the hospital now provides emergency care, as well as outpatient and inpatient services in modern facilities.
St. Joseph’s Hospital, founded in 1908 by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Rochester, has been steadfastly serving those of all faiths in Elmira and the surrounding region for the last century.
Generosity of the Community
Over the years, these hospitals have undergone many changes and benefited from the generosity of individuals in the community. With your help, Arnot Health will be able to continue this tradition of excellent care for future generations.
In addition to immediate gifts, there are a number of ways you can support Arnot Health. These options for future giving—called planned gifts—are outlined in the following pages. Planned gifts can take many forms, but the simplest is a gift in your will. There are also opportunities to give that provide income back to you or your loved ones. All these types of gifts feature tax benefits and all make an impact on the important and life-saving work we do.
When you support Arnot Health, you make it possible for us to continue to fulfill our original, shared mission—which is caring for all. Please let us know if we can provide you or your advisors with additional information.
